About This Idea
The ancient art of paper folding teaches patience, precision, and spatial thinking. Start with simple designs like cranes and frogs, then progress to complex creations. Origami improves fine motor skills, reduces stress, and creates beautiful art from a single sheet of paper. In Japan, folding 1,000 cranes is said to grant a wish.

Common Challenges & Solutions
Every beginner faces obstacles. Here's how to overcome them:
⚠️
Folds aren't crisp or paper tears
Solution: Use proper origami paper (thinner, stronger than printer paper). Fold slowly and precisely. Use a bone folder or credit card to crease firmly. Don't unfold and refold the same crease repeatedly.
⚠️
Can't follow diagrams
Solution: Start with video tutorials (Jo Nakashima is best). Watch the whole video first, then follow along. Pause frequently. Diagrams make sense after you learn the symbols - start with videos.
⚠️
Models don't look like the picture
Solution: This is normal! Precision comes with practice. Focus on one model until perfect before moving on. Check your folds match the tutorial exactly - small errors compound. Take photos to compare.
