Common Challenges & Solutions
Every beginner faces obstacles. Here's how to overcome them:
β οΈ
Plants dying or turning brown
Solution: Usually overwatering. Terrariums need very little water - the closed environment recycles moisture. Only water when soil is completely dry, and use a spray bottle for light misting.
β οΈ
Too much condensation
Solution: If glass is constantly foggy, open the lid for a few hours to let excess moisture escape. Closed terrariums should have light condensation, not heavy fog.
β οΈ
Mold or fungus appearing
Solution: Add more activated charcoal, ensure proper drainage, and reduce watering. Remove any visible mold immediately. Good air circulation helps prevent this.
